From PET bottle - to flower pot

The journey of a PET bottle after it is thrown away as rubbish may seem like the end of its useful life, but in reality, it is just the beginning. Through a process called recycling, this discarded bottle can be transformed into a new and useful product: rPET film.

The recycling process begins with the collection of used PET bottles, which are then sorted, cleaned, and shredded into small flakes. These flakes are then heated and melted to remove impurities, such as labels and caps.

The resulting material is then transported to a facility that specializes in the production of rPET film. Here, the flakes are heated and extruded into a flat sheet of plastic, which is then cooled and rolled up into large rolls. The rPET film can be used in a variety of applications, such as packaging, displays, and construction materials.

One of the main applications of rPET film is thermoforming, where the film is heated to a specific temperature and then formed into a desired shape using a mold. After the thermoforming process, the rPET film is cooled and hardened to retain its shape. This process creates a wide range of products, including clamshells, trays, and even construction materials.

In conclusion, the journey of a PET bottle after it is thrown away as rubbish may seem like the end, but it is actually just the beginning. Through the recycling process, discarded bottles can be transformed into a new and useful product: rPET film, which can be thermoformed into various products. This process not only conserves natural resources but also reduces the amount of plastic waste in the environment.
